Worlds of the Free Zaalan Tribes
The Local Cluster is the home of the Zaalan civilization, Beyond its two planets, Delkhi'i and Nag'Dath, the rest of the cluster is controlled by the oldest space mining corporations. The Local Cluster is known for the artifacts often found in derelict vessels and on barren worlds, hinting at a past hyperlane-faring civilization that vanished some 300.000 years ago for reasons unknown.
Delkhi'i, "Homeworld"Local Cluster > Doth Ur > 3rd planet
Homeworld // Clans : 23 // Capital : Jehenna City (Hlinka capital) // Population : 4.054.587.105 (6.6 p/km2)
This world is the home planet of the Zaalan species. A colder, relatively dry world covered in great steppes and rainforests, it is also blessed with a wealth of mineral resources. Delkhi'i is the most urbanized world in Zaalan space, though, to despair of some, cities are slowly but surely eating away at the steppes and merging into each other. This trend seems only slowed by emigration to other planets. Delkhi'i is orbited by a moon, Aifro Jo ("Stalwart") and the imposing space station The Tower of Dawn.

Local Cluster > Valyash > 2nd planet
Settled in 4005 // Ward of Clan Ajil // Capital : Reunion // Population : 3.257.411.387 (6.8 p/km2)
This gentle savannah world was the first Zaalan extrasolar colony. The Ajil Trade League built its first settlement, Reunion, as a symbol of unity between the clan-states. It has since grown extensively into a thriving forge world. Its inhabitants are perhaps more open-minded than most Zaalans, though its police force is also notoriously incompetent and crime is high. Nag'Dath is orbited by the Valyash Fleet Academy and Fleetyards, which exploit easy access to manufactured alloys to buid more ships than most fleetyards.

The Xionian Traverse is a sprawling nebula and stellar nursery pierced from side to side by the hyperlane network. First contact with the Tonaak and the Cartel were made there, as it was a busy and only lightly settled hyperlane axi until its colonization by the Zaalans and subsequent border closures. It is speculated that the disturbances in gravometric readings caused by the nursery may have hidden hyperlane openings to the Local Cluster from already space-faring xenos, protecting the Zaalas from outside meddling...or worse.
Yang LiaXionian Traverse > Xionia > 3rd planet
Settled in 4015 // Ward of Clan Yarkand // Capital : Navae // Population : 2.305.476.089 (2.9 p/km2)
The warm world of Yang Lia is covered in lagoons and jungles on most of its surface. Its system was developed to serve as the first extrasolar producer of Helium-3 by the warrior clan-state Yarkand, turning them into an thrifty, successful clan. It is also a major chokepoint for traders from across the Traverse, who dock at the Pillars of Xionia. It is known for its relaxed laws, its highly concentrated arcology cities, and its developed financial sector - as well as for its extensive military bases that train the bulk of Zaalan armies.

MurgoriXionian Traverse > Ansei'i > 2nd planet
Settled in 4017 // Ward of Clan Amgara // Capital : New Altay // Population : 2.135.740.235 (2.8 p/km2)
Murgori sits at the end of the Traverse - the giant, fertile breadbasket of all Zaalan space. Its inhabitants, clan-state Ambara, are rugged and highly individualistic, and are often seen as somewhat backwards by other colonies. Murgori is of critical importance to an Assembly seen there as little more than a hegemonic interloper, and it has attempted to break free in 4270 in the hopes to use its food supplies as leverage - a defiant move in the middle of a greater war that ended in defeat and the branding of Ambara as traitors.

Novr'iXionian Traverse > Gul Novr'i > 3rd planet
Settled in 4180 // Ward of Clan Nahl // Capital : Landfall Two // Population : 2.024.484.095 (4.8 p/km2)
A cold, barely habitable rock except for a narrow band at its equator, Novr'i is nonetheless a leading centre of learning and academia, notable for having never tolerated xeno-slavery in its entire existence. Its vast icy expanses are perfect spots for all sorts of research labs, and entire subcontinents belong to corporations, safe from colony laws. Recently exposed were the headquarters of a secretive organization known as the Perimeter, authorized by the Assembly to keep tabs on dangerous technolonies and psionic research.

OmamoriXionian Traverse > Gul Omamor > 1st room of 3rd planet
Settled in 4250 // Ward of Clan Moria // Capital : Itanawa // Population : 412.145.011 (0.8 p/km2)
The barely livable world Omamori has only recently been settled thanks to advances in climate control technology. Clan-state Moria's Apex Mining Corporation has claimed most of the hot planet and has parcelled it for mass exploitation. Colony sites dot the poles - new homes for millions of rugged Morians leaving the homeworld in search of better opportunities. The result is an endless sea of quarries, automated mines, slave pits, planetary spaceports, and wanton industrialization choking the atmosphere with dust.

VanguardXionian Traverse > Exodia > 4th moon of 3rd planet
Settled in 4274 // Ward of Clan Cheimka // Capital : Port Cero // Population : 172.803.015 (0.8 p/km2)
The product of failed Cartel terraforming, Vanguard is a harsh, tidally-locked moon of the gas giant Exodia III - the only one with an atmosphere, albeit thin and only breathable with respiratory aids. What makes this hell world appealing is warrior clan Cheimka's desire to turn the rocky moon into a heavily fortified world with all sorts of military and research facilities - a supersized Vigil, capable of shooting ships cruising at .04c, that any invading fleet would need to break itself upon in order to proceed deeper into Zaalan space.

Following a war waged on two fronts from 4270 to 4278, Zaalan space and influence greatly expanded from 22 to 50 systems. The Outer Worlds are a collection of war-ruined planets littered with debris of glorious battles and, with no Qesir fleets to protect its trade routes, is a festering miasma for pirates, marauders and outcasts of all kinds. The AI Concord that used to control these sectors have long retreated, and some worlds have started to develop for colonization further away from Assembly influence and the pressure of more powerful clan-states.
AltynkolAzuka's Warpath > Korgas > 3rd planet
Taken in 4261 // Ward of Clan Korgas // Capital : Victory Point // Population : 75.869.518 (0.2 p/km2)
A former outpost world of the Tonaak Exalted Order, this world at the edge of Zaalan space was ruthlessly taken by the warlord Navah Cheimka following devastating bombardments onits enemy infrastructure and marshalling yards. Known for its iconic predator species, such as the dreaded Canyon Cliffracers, this desertic world is now home to mercenaries, misfits, Tonaak exiles and neo-nomadic Zaalans operating out of makeshift tent cities and seeking to exploit a strange red dust found only on this world...

KhordHlinka Verge > Astana > 1st moon of 3rd planet
Taken in 4278 // Ward of Clan Hlinka // Capital : Mana // Population (non-feral) : 34.114.215 (0.1 p/km2)
No world is as strange nor dreadful as the frozen moon Khord. A moon of the mysterious and hostile AI Concord, it was taken by Clan Hlinka following the AI's catastrophic central collapse in 2278. What was discovered was nothing short of bizarre : synaptic clusters, organic "processing" centres, and even native, sentient life : the grotesque, nerve-stapled Gnoll, assimilated for unfathomable reasons by the Concord, and now a feral hive resettled into giant reserves behind electric fences - until some better solution is found.

ChifengYarkand Cluster > Winter > 3rd planet
Taken in 4278 // Yarkand Protectorate // Capital : Chifeng City // Population 318.891.011 (0.66 p/km2)
This boiling planet has a reducing atmo and ground pressure 600 times greater than that of Delkhi'i. Strategically placed, far from the Traverse, it enjoys far greater autonomy than other colonies : the hostile surface conditions have not deterred Clan Yarkand and a myriad of corporations from building dozens of aerostat habitats that drift in the planet's airless but otherwise habitable atmosphere, 50 km above the ground. Too many colonists have been attracted by the new frontier, and slums have spread alarmingly.
